Fox News is Anti-American. People don’t realize it’s a foreign company owned by foreigners.
Remind deplorables that it’s not an american company and would love for this country to rip itself apart.

It’s easier for Trump to send intel and get his marching orders from Putin via liaisons at Maralago than the scrutiny of Whitehouse security.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | March 31, 2019 6:39 PM |
we have our second post-Barr summary poll!! The CNN one a few days ago said 54% no it doesn't exonerate and 43% yes. The NBC one released today says 40% no, 29% yes and 31% unsure
good to see in both polls that more people said no it doesn't exonerate. For the first days last week I thought the public might fall for Barr's stunt. Happy to see I was wrong
by Anonymous | reply 8 | March 31, 2019 6:40 PM |
I think there's something that should be noted. The day of and the days following Barr's summary - I think what we saw here is proof that it was a coordinated effort to try to lie and spin the truth and make people STOP talking about the Mueller report.
Think about what we saw here and how this board and these threads were FLOODED with trolls insisting that there was nothing to see, they told us so, these threads are pointless, stop talking about the report, and trying desperately to FF the OP and get these threads deleted.
To me, all of that shows that they were desperately trying to make sure their hoax went off without a hitch and they were concerned it wouldn't.
Notice all those trolls have disappeared?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | March 31, 2019 6:56 PM |
The very ham-handed cover-up leg by Barr most certainly DID NOT take. Now they’re scrambling to keep a consistent message.
I agree with whoever it was in the last thread that you just know Barr is freaked out now about what to redact and what not to. One leak of the interacted version and he could be charged with some obstruction of justice of his own.
(Do you believe that the Attorney General is above the law and cannot be charged with such an offense, you fat bitch?)
by Anonymous | reply 10 | March 31, 2019 7:02 PM |
r4, Fox viewers are so low information that they probably have no idea that it's controlled by an Australian/British family. If you asked them they'd probably say Hannity or Trump owns it.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | March 31, 2019 7:07 PM |
I told you guys the person and persons who have the most to lose from the Mueller Report coming out is Trump and his close advisors and I write as someone who had concluded a year or so ago that it wouldn't show a conspiracy, as that term's elements are is legally defined, between Trump and the Russians to beyond a reasonable doubt.
Their piñata, aka The Mueller Report is gone. And the candy its dropped can become a huge political bellyache for Trump. They know that.
I wouldn't be surprised if, right now, Barr is shitting bricks because of what contained in it.

Sorry about my grammatical errors.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | March 31, 2019 7:11 PM |
I'm just concerned that the Trump campaign will realize that during the next election, if they wait to drop a big fake scandal about whoever his opponent is 2 days before the election, it might sway just enough people from voting. Look at what happened last Sunday and Monday-the dumbass complicit mainstream media was acting like Barr's word was the final word and some of the public fell for it too
by Anonymous | reply 14 | March 31, 2019 7:18 PM |
Right now, someone needs to tell Trump that the most powerful man in Washington is Barr. Mueller reports to him, He has full access to the report, he literally holds Trump hostage. Talk about leverage!
by Anonymous | reply 15 | March 31, 2019 7:19 PM |
R14, even Brian Lehrer on WNYC Radio fell for it, which was a big bummer.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | March 31, 2019 7:20 PM |
I don't think I'm board with the idea that Barr is now worried he'll get in trouble for obstruction. I don't believe any of them are worried. These motherfuckers have been getting away with shit for so long, they believe they always will. When and if they ever do get caught-- they act completely shocked and surprised.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | March 31, 2019 7:29 PM |
I don't know about that, R15. What would Barr want or need from Trump? No matter what, Barr's place in history is firmly planted. His choice whether he wants to go down as some lackey who protected Trump or as a hero who took down the most corrupt and treasonous POTUS we've ever seen.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | March 31, 2019 7:33 PM |
I'm with R17..I don't think any of them are sweating. Barr is so fucking arrogant and such a creature of the swamp..he doesn't care, he's been getting away with it all his life.

One of Russia’s richest women has been killed in a plane crash in Germany. Hmm...
by Anonymous | reply 20 | March 31, 2019 7:55 PM |
yeah I don't know if Barr is worried. He's very arrogant. He advised Bush to pardon all those Iran-Contra pieces of shit and besides brief criticism, it was largely forgotten until he reentered politics again last year.
I'm sure he wants to make sure there are no leaks but I don't think he's worried about any consequences for himself. It would be hilarious if shit goes sideways and Trump begins trashing him though

Can you post a link, R22?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | March 31, 2019 8:06 PM |
r21....THIS is not Iran-Contra....there is a lot of evidence in the public sphere....so they cant easily pull the wool over everyones eyes like in the past when people were pretty much clueless about what was going on internally in the white house.
Regarding Fox...you can thank Ronald Reagan for this fiasco....he did away with The Fairness Doctrine for exactly the reason we see today. Remember, the GOP is a slow moving coup...the judicial system, the media, etc are slowly being infiltrated.

Sigh. Kellyanne is the Liar in Chief.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | March 31, 2019 8:27 PM |
Kellyanne, of course, never answers Wallace’s question which is, “Why is Trump lying at his rally about being fully exonerated of obstruction of justice?”
by Anonymous | reply 28 | March 31, 2019 8:32 PM |
If nothing else I hope that cunt Kellyanne Conway and that human swollen thumb Sarah Huckabee Sanders end up divorced and shunned by anyone they ever considered a friend and ally.
they can keep trump, we vote up and down the line as Dems. Every seat, local, regional, state.
The problem is, even if some Independents and Republicans who voted for Trump will switch over to the Dem candidate (hopefully), they may still vote Rethug downticket and that may stop us from getting the Senate etc.
We really need to get out the Dem vote by massive numbers.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | March 31, 2019 9:24 PM |
You're right R25. This time Barr is under a really hot spotlight. He can't operate in the background, he is front and center, and he is being challenged heavily by Congress, public opinion, and yes, the media who has now re-focused.
The reason I said BArr has leverage right now is because he does. But that window will close soon. For example, Trump wants him to challenge Obamacare in court. He already indicated he opposed to doing this. It's not the best example, but holding that report like a sword of damocles over the heads of the people who least want it publicized is useful now.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | March 31, 2019 9:36 PM |
This week would be a great week for Trump to stroke out.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | March 31, 2019 9:38 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 34 | March 31, 2019 9:46 PM |
While there was an insane number of trolls here during those two crazy days, we've also had several "regulars" here who did their "See? I TOLD YOU all for months" routine. Their "I give up and you should, too" script that they type out in various forms.
Their histories could be searched and they had been posting for a long time, sprinkling in their concern and worry and doubt, but when the bottom seemingly fell out, they shouted from the rooftops about how vindicated they were not to think anything will ever happen to Trump and that it's pointless.
You need to be vigilant against those people as well. They give themselves away very early but get passes to just continue to infiltrate, and then they join in on the doom chorus when something "bad" happens to us.
Oh, and the new candidates for president really don't belong here. You all said this was an all-inclusive political thread, not just "the Mueller Report," but that allowed all the divisive in-fighting to take over half of the thread during those chaotic days. We even had "long-timers" advocating for voting Republican! Now, suddenly, it's died down. You know why.
I would say that the unofficial "guardians" in this thread who shout down anyone who points out divisive talk are the ones who allowed all of the infiltrators to take hold in the first place. YES, there were sudden two-day trolls who came and went, but several stealth trolls had been here all along.
And now call me "divisive" for stating that pointing out trolls isn't wrong.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | March 31, 2019 10:00 PM |
We don't have the luxury of allowing Trump and his minions to wear us down. We can't afford to be "tired of this." We have to rip pages out of their playbook, and be relentless just like the Republicans. They never admit defeat, never apologize, never say " We were wrong." They never stop coming at us. IF they are the minority party represented on a House committee they obstruct. They just never stop no matter what. And that is exactly what we have to do.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | April 1, 2019 12:13 AM |
OP, a very good thread pic & title.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | April 1, 2019 12:31 AM |
The troll situation here was nuts for several days. They can't even disguise what they are doing. There are plenty of regulars, as was pointed out, who gloated. I am just perplexed how anyone who posts here, LGBT, could ever gloat about Pres Bone Spurs getting away with anything.
Good news is his schtick is wearing thin. He is boring. His little rally in MI and what he said was boring asf. "Pencil neck Adam Schiff"? How embarrassing for a "president" to utter.
We are 4 years into his same utterances since he descended from hell in 2015 and he has jumped the shark.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | April 1, 2019 12:32 AM |
we are in a war and the fatigue is designed to wear us down. We are supposed to feel overwhelmed and defeated. A defeated population is easy to control.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | April 1, 2019 12:39 AM |
Well, R38, one of the biggest gloaters here has shrieked over and over "I've been here over twenty years! Since the beginning!" any time he was called out for his divisive posts.
And y'all just let him shout people down who call him out on his stealth trolling.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | April 1, 2019 12:40 AM |
Catching up on the threads and referring back to the previous one, specifically the post linking to the Chris Wallace/Bill Hemmer dialogue about what started the Russia investigation: when did Hemmer turn into a right-wing shill, or was he always one?
by Anonymous | reply 41 | April 1, 2019 12:41 AM |
When Hemmer skipped over to Fox from CNN years ago, the first thing he did was swallow a big pitcher of the Fox Kool-Aid
by Anonymous | reply 42 | April 1, 2019 1:10 AM |
Bottom line, Mueller needs to testify before Congressional committees with basically his original report distributed beforehand.
Mueller's conclusions, to the extent they are reported to be true, are perplexing. The public doesn't need to be confused and left with unanswered questions.
I don't want to see Barr's collaborative report with Miss Lindsey as the last word, or for it to be accepted as credible without Mueller defending and endorsing the distribution. What's missing or changed he needs to address to a satisfactory level. If Barr's assessment is garbage, it needs to be treated as such. The top DoJ official hiding and/or denying actual criminal behavior would be a monumental scandal in itself.
Barr is a party hack who injected himself into the investigation long before he was appointed and confirmed as AG. He's representing Trump, and Trump is not the country. Miss Lindsey engaging in the preparation of the report is way out-of-bounds. Congress should be livid by such. If Barr had invited Eric Swalwell, for example, to help edit the VERSION report, do you think Republicans and Trump would clap?
by Anonymous | reply 43 | April 1, 2019 1:12 AM |
Hemmer is a closeted asshole.

by Anonymous | reply 53 | April 1, 2019 1:52 AM |
yes r52....IN MAY..... He needs to be in front of Congress YESTERDAY. For every day they allow him to delay and play games, the deeper the cover up will go. Think of how they will have control of the narrative if it takes months before anyone receives the real report.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | April 1, 2019 1:53 AM |
They do need to investigate Barr. THey need to refer him to a Grand Jury and have him investigated. John Mitchell went to Prison. Barr is not immune from prosecution. He was the wrong person to appoint. He should have been disqualified from ever getting approved by the Senate. Close your eyes. Now. Pretend Barr wrote a 19 page memo telling people that the Starr investigation was not legitimate, the fact that they were allowing Starr to investigate the POTUS was outrageous, and the PResident could not be charged with obstruction." and then after he writes this memo, he is shortlisted to become Bill Clinton's Attorney General. Who here believes the Republicans on the Senate Judiciary committee would have approved that appointment simply based on some polite promises Starr gave that he'd do his job properly.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | April 1, 2019 1:58 AM |
R54, I agree. Congress has set a Tuesday deadline for delivering the complete Mueller report. If they don't get it (they won't) things will hopefully start to happen faster.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | April 1, 2019 2:00 AM |
R53, you little troll fucker, talk about delusional, if the report is such a big "nothingburger" why not release it? Why keep lying about it, and distorting the results and spinning? And BTW: There are people who were charged by a grand jury, and indicted, and people who pleaded guilty, so this is not a witch hunt, and it is still going on. Yes. Mueller and his grand jury are still "robustly investigating." So go fuck yourself with steel wool wrapped around your dick.

What the Mueller Report Stated: You cannot indict a sitting President.
What Barr said: No indictment, no obstruction.
What Mueller stated: President not cleared.
What Barr stated: Total Vindication.
The evidence of the investigation: more than enough to convict under normal circumstances for obstruction and conspiracy.
Barr: Because Trump was not indicted, he id considered peripheral to this investigation. peripheral third parties are not to be exposed. COVERUP.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | April 1, 2019 2:01 AM |

The Senate is this Presidents parachute .

Bracing myself for a week of DC fuckery. Where’s the report Barr?
by Anonymous | reply 62 | April 1, 2019 2:45 AM |
R61, for now.
R60, cabinet members are not impeached. They can be forced to resign, members of Congress can call for their resignation and the President can ask for their resignation, (which in Trump's case would not happen to Barr) and they can be charge with crimes. They aren't important enough to be impeached. Federal Judges and the POTUS are impeached.
And in January 2021, we will have enough Senators and House members to impeach Trump and a few judges in the mix.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | April 1, 2019 2:46 AM |

As much as I want to hope that things are changing for the better, are we really in any better position than we were last week? Barr is still doing exactly what he wants. Thankfully the news has decided to stand up instead of maintaining their bent over position for Barr and Company but, legally, nothing has changed. We still don't have the report. There are no plans for even Congress to see an unredacted report. Barr has actually added to the number of things he's going to redact in collusion with Graham. We've moved from 54% believing the report didn't exonerate the asshole to 40% in two different polls. We still can't impeach the fucker because of the Senate and, since Mueller didn't indict him, there's no hope for justice to actually take place.
Are we just trying to make ourselves feel better or is there actually some real reason for hope that I'm missing?

True. However, they can be impeached -- the last one was Secretary of War William W. Belknap in 1876 (who was acquitted in the Senate) -- but the most likely situation is that the President who appointed them forces them to resign. That won't happen here because Barr is DOTUS's insurance policy.

The way the Media drank the fucking Kool Aid and went nuts for the "Barr Report" a fucking 4 page opinion memo, was infuriating. The Media has to know by now that they're dealing with a criminal enterprise, and no one, whether it's a cabinet member appointed by POTUS, or certain members of Congress, no one who supports this regime is clean. This is a fucking criminal enterprise and that's exactly how Barr and anyone else connected to Trump, needs to be treated. Stop giving them the "benefit of the doubt" because there is NO doubt.

They did. But, quite surprisingly, the American public isn't buying the nonsense they're peddling. Which, is somewhat shocking, considering how they were more than happy to be led astray about Hillary's damn emails.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | April 1, 2019 1:23 PM |
My experience with people like Trump (and yes, I actually have worked for people who were that fucked up) is that they tend to stay in power until the people who've been responsible for putting him there are exhausted by the effort of propping up and covering for the stiff in office and can no longer protect him. Then the enemies swarm in and take him out. But by then there's no triumph because the Stiff has caused so much destruction and misery that nobody feels anything anymore about the whole situation. That's how it was with Nixon. One piece of writing by Hunter S. Thompson that I think has stood the test of time is his description of Nixon leaving the White House for the last time, in its sense of utter anticlimax.

Re: R80, the only comparable event I lived through was the fall of Margaret Thatcher. She was as deeply divisive as Trump, but not a crooked mob boss. Trump is by magnitudes worse.
The build-up to Thatcher's dramatic exit was intense and exciting - riveting. It's true that when she'd finally been ousted, it was too much to take in after her eleven years in power. Eleven! The relief though was phenomenal.
She was pretty much a wreck thereafter. As was Nixon - his Frost interviews were hardly redemptive. Trump will similarly be a wreck, but as now, not know it. He'll be history's laughing stock for centuries, but bellow he's a winner till his last.

After Barr shit out his nonsense last weekend I had to unplug from most media not only because of an intense work week, but travel and a death in the family. Underneath all of that was this nagging dread and reluctance to plug back in.
SURPRISE. The Barr Report was a goose egg and Americans aren't buying it. That's a huge deal. I caught up with one of Mueller, She Wrote's dailies and they reported polling that showed it hasn't moved the needle. A Majority of Americans want the full report, do not believe it clears Trump and, as mentioned earlier in threads (thanks, everyone) now Barr/Trump aren't as smug as they were last weekend. Nervous, I'd say. I like that. The report doesn't shut down RICO charges, and I've always believed that that's where Trump is most vulnerable. No way he isn't in knee-deep. HA.
Barr is a knuckle-cracking, fat bastard enforcer who did what he does best--protect Republicans at all cost. He shut Mueller down. Mueller didn't reach conclusions because he wasn't allowed to finish the work. THAT's the message Mueller is signaling. Believe your eyes and ears. Also, Tump knows everything in the report. He's a mob boss and sociopath. They know everything, and put people in place who will tell them everything.
Bless Adam Shiff. Bless Congress as they pull in the full report, Barr and Mueller to serve justice on behalf of the American people.
Oh! Bless those AWESOME voters who showed up in LA on Saturday. Holy shit! Another unexpected surprise.
What a difference one week makes. This is how people resist and fight for their country. So thanks to you people who took the gut punches this week, documented the day-by-day in our threads, roasted the trolls and gave me one hell of a good morning cup of coffee.

And if it is OK for him to see them, what is the possible rationale for not allowing other members of Congress to see them? And if it isn’t OK for him to see them (methods and sources for ongoing espionage cases for instance) isn’t Barr engaging in misconduct? I mean what is to stop LG from blabbing to his Russian handlers? Unless this is all some sort of elaborate barium meal test that Mueller is running.

1) If we only know what has filtered out in media and the Mueller subpoenas, imagine what Congress knows.
2) Congress is asking for all the underlying evidence as well. The GOP just had collective diarrhea.
3) They're going after the Mob. Beef up everyone's security detail.
A fourth thought:

They always come at things with the understand that they are somehow superior to the rest of us and can control us and tell us what we can and can’t see? We paid for the report. Actual tax payers.
What is up with? They don’t own the goverment —and they take so much more in the form or corporate welfare and tax doges. They use up so much more resources and always want to pollute and destroy.
They don’t own the U.S. it’s a free country, no matter what they say.

Dilanian is full of shit. He needs to go. He is trying to spin this as to why they were overruled and why they were denied, and maybe the WH just didn't have the patience to wait, etc. when we know very well that Kushner in particular was denied clearances for cause and he repeatedly lied on his forms. Miss LG acts as if she is very compromised. Turning into a DJT supporter could be considered plausible for Miss LG to avoid facing a challenge in the GOP Senate primary in SC for 2020. But she has gone to the extreme, actually doing dirty work for Trump and meddling in shit in which she has no direct business. She's aggressively trying to revive attacks and endless investigations on Hillary Clinton and her Emails. Frankly, the Clintons need to sue the DoJ and individuals such as Miss LG and Trey Gowdy, while out of Congress and a Fox contributor, is still trying to have her prosecuted it appears.

That he will suffer in exact measure to the pain and suffering he inflicts on others. I wish that for all of them. Anyone who is in a position to do great good, and instead CHOOSES to do great harm should rot in Hell. Seriously.

I just can't with Trump, Graham, McConnell, Ryan, people like the Kochs, etc. " Anyone who is in a position to do great good and instead chooses to do great harm..." and really, that is my point.
There are people in this world who have the capability to really make a huge difference. To have an impact and make lives better. Instead these craven beasts choose to do harm. Look at that fucker today denying aid to Puerto Rico.
Look at how the asylum seekers are having their children taken away, and put in cages. Still. And hundreds have not been reunited from last year! And now they are jailing the parents who have come here simply to see their children. This is evil. It is cruel and sadistic and ugly.
People say it's Trump, but his own party members could stop him and choose not to. Their big donor class could stop them, but won't. Why? Because they do not care. They are all the same. It is not just Trump it's all of them. They are as craven and low as he is. So yes, I want them to feel the same pain they inflict on others.

Great R180. I hope the State Democratic PArties a re doing all they can to insure that the primaries are as clean as possible and not opportunities for mischief. I think all primaries in all states have to be closed. Only registered Democrats can vote. No opportunities for cross over voting. You have to declare your party. After all, that's what the primary process is all about, choosing your party's nominee. In 2016, I know for a fact that BErnie was busing people in to vote in caucuses out west. A lot of them were college students without valid IDs and then there was a big mess in either NEvada or Arizona when it came time to select delegates. Expect more of the same in terms of disruptions. The GOP wants chaos and bitterness.

R185, yup, pretty much the whole thing is a crock of 💩
by Anonymous | reply 188 | April 2, 2019 7:05 PM |
Here's a game I'm wondering if Barr is playing. He's going to redact the report so basically all you see is "Trump, No Collusion." Democrats will sue and subpoena Mueller. Mueller is such a straight shooter, he may not testify against DOJ wishes or say his report was directed to the AG and any questions need to be addressed by Barr. Court battles ensue. We burn a year or so on this tactic. Now, we're in the middle of the election. The report has lots of information in it about people who probably did bad things but weren't charged - for whatever reason. DOJ has policy against discussing investigation that don't lead to indictments (unless you're Hillary Clinton and its a week before the election). Barr claims this policy as well as not wanting to interfere with an election. Thus, we don't get to see the report until after 2020.

I wonder if there's some brave soul who'd risk his/her career and freedom by leaking?
by Anonymous | reply 192 | April 2, 2019 7:35 PM |
Barr is going to claim that "Mueller" concurred with the "findings" in Barr's redacted version. That could be subject to multiple interpretations.
Either Barr is going to be honest and forthright, or he is running a cover-up with delay tactics. So far, it firmly looks like there later.
Unless the full original report is released without inappropriate redactions, and done so timely, no confidence should be placed in Barr. His intent is to protect Trump by an means at his disposal.
As for as Mueller, cut the protocol crap. Appear before Congress whether Barr likes it or not.
Rosenstein needs to answer some questions as well.
by Anonymous | reply 193 | April 2, 2019 8:40 PM |
People keep asking why Rosenstein is collaborating with Barr when he is a potential witness....I will remind you that Rosenstein...and Kavanaugh...worked for Ken Starr and his "real" witch hunt against a president.
by Anonymous | reply 194 | April 2, 2019 8:58 PM |
R189, the problem with that calculation is that unseen horrors are always worse than visible ones. The longer DOJ/Barr fights to withhold the full Report, the easier it is to argue that the Report must be incredibly unfavorable to Trump and involve acts we, the general public, do not know about.
by Anonymous | reply 195 | April 2, 2019 9:43 PM |
Comey Defends Barr
Former FBI Director James Comey said people should give Attorney General William Barr the “benefit of the doubt” when it comes to the report from Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russia and President Donald Trump’s campaign.
“What is normal redactions in cases like this? I mean, you must have seen a lot of this in your tenure and in all your positions. I mean, you know, the jokes are that it will all be redacted except for a couple of words. You just said give him the benefit of the doubt. But what should one expect beyond what he just said,” CNN’s Christiane Amanpour asked.
“You should expect a good faith effort by the department of justice to protect things in those categories, you don’t want to reveal classified information,” Comey replied. “You don’t want to damage ongoing investigations and you don’t want to smear people who had no part in the investigation, but that’s all easy to figure out if you know the case as, Mueller’s people do.”
by Anonymous | reply 196 | April 2, 2019 9:48 PM |

Meghan McCain Rages in Fiery View Rant: Trump’s Going to Get Reelected, Don’t Say I Didn’t Warn You
The View‘s Joy Behar and Meghan McCain got into an icy standoff on Tuesday, which ended with a proclamation from the latter that President Donald Trump will win re-election if Democrats keep flirting with socialism ahead of 2020
The argument started during a panel discussion of the political traction Mayor Pete Buttigieg has been getting among the Democratic base. McCain brought up a recent NBC/Wall Street Journal poll suggesting most Americans would be okay with a homosexual president. However, the poll also said only 25 percent of the country would approve of having a socialist as president.
When Behar suggested most Americans don’t realize what socialism really means, McCain responded that “people are smart.” This led to a back-and-forth in which she asked if Behar was questioning her intelligence.
The conversation grew increasingly tense as McCain said “it’s so ridiculous” and that nominating a Democratic socialist 2020 candidate would make Trump’s re-election a certainty.
“I miss Whoopi [Goldberg] when she’s not here,” an exasperated McCain said to substitute moderator Behar.
by Anonymous | reply 221 | April 3, 2019 12:48 AM |
Well McCain is sort of right probably by accident. Bernie is making serious progress. And he is getting support under the table, from Trump people/Russians, or WTF ever. Nixon sort of did this in 1972. He wanted to run against McGovern. Muskie was polling well and was a strong candidate to beat him. So he created a fake scandal and took Muskie out before the nomination was secured and he ran against McGovern, the anti war, who was Far Left, and popular with the younger people, and McGovern lost. Every fucking state. So if they succeed in fucking up Biden's chances, and Bernie remains strong, it is possible he may win the primaries and get the nomination. If that happens we.are.fucked. Trump said it out loud today. He told someone, at some press event that he is certain the Dems are going to nominate someone so far to the Left it will be impossible to vote for them. Now Trump could say that about any Dem, even if it's not true. But Bernie would be the worst possible candidate for us.
by Anonymous | reply 222 | April 3, 2019 1:00 AM |
Yes, people forget how the GOP were blocking every judge Obama had. There was a huge judicial crisis (surprise the media did NOT make this a huge issue) and the GOP knew what they were doing. They knew they'd get the Senate (thanks to Russia and our own oligarchs) so the crisis was manufactured so they could ram through their own nominees. That strategy also reveals how sure they were they'd win the 2016 prez election. Putin made them sweat it out, though. Pres Bone Spurs now has 1 out of 5 circuit judges. He has over 100 more to fill and will easily. ALL young, anti gay, anti environment, anti voting.

There are more morons and party first turds in office right now than brains or the quest for unity. It was different during Watergate. It wasn’t openly putting party over country back then. Because it’s openly party over country now, few are going to stand up against the destruction of the United States. They only care about “winning” against their other fellow citizens and they flat out refuse to seek a common ground.

In light of there being no reservations to how low the Repigs will go, we need to cut to the chase, subpoena Meuller and get the short version from him. This idea to go from bottom up through the chain of command will not work. There are MANY more pressing issues that we need to cover - climate change, health care, etc.
I don't know why matters are going so slowly. For example, why do they have to wait until April 2 to go to phase 2 when that Fat Barr already said long ago that he's not doing it. Why wait?
Also, I think Mueller's Report may contain compromising material on some very powerful people on the Dem side as well.

No, R257, never. I have NEVER voter Republican, ever. I despise the lying trump and everything he stands for. I despise McConnell and all the corrupt politicians and stupid deplorables. My point was that not every single conservative is a deplorable. The one co-worker I knew who is conservative is registered Independent and she did not vote for trump. She threw her vote away on Gary Johnson.
I worked with the Republican consultant before 2016, I even had to travel with him. He was totally devoted to his work and family, really knew the airline field and was very generous with sharing his experience and knowledge of the filed. We talked politics only once then agreed never to again. Mainly his thing was not supporting welfare recipients or social programs. He worked very hard but did not seem to get that not everyone gets the breaks he did and that it's important that we have safety nets like Medicare and Social Security, to be sure that the elderly and anyone else at risk, like the mentally ill, fall through the cracks into poverty and homelessness.
Like I said, I'm in a deeply blue area, I don't even know any deplorables, there are none in my solidly liberal family or among my friends.
One of the problems we're having today, and I believe it's more on the republican side, is that people don't listen to other viewpoints, they just smear, hate, and demonize. President Obama was respectful to everyone but the evil on the right, led by trump, wallow in hatred, division, and derision. There are billions of dollars behind those, like Fox News, dedicated to keeping America ignorant.
If we're going to win in the future, we need to draw in reasonable conservatives who are on the fence, we'll need their votes. Because in spite of our divisions, studies have shown that the majority of Americans lean left. Some are in need of a gentle push. Their beliefs may not be supported by facts, but demonizing people will absolutely not change their minds.

I'm really sick and tired of the Media and a lot of other types cataloguing his latest bullshit. I don't give a fuck if he lies about his father, cheats at golf or exhibits confusion with word recognition (early dementia).
As far as I'm concerned, we know all we need to know about him, and right now with his current threats to shut down the border, deny aid to Puerto Rico, go to court to repeal healthcare, if that isn't a fucking abuse of power WTF is? Oh, and using campaign money to pay off hookers is illegal.
I said it before. We do not need a Mueller report to throw his fat ass out. His foreign policy is an embarrassment. He totally mismanaged North Korea and he has put us in greater danger as a result. I'm convinced once that fucking report is made public there will be ample evidence he broke the law and is guilty of Obstruction of Justice several times over.
I am also convinced that he conspired with Russia. Maybe Mueller was reluctant to take the final step of saying it rises to the crime of Treason (that's what it's called, guys) but he did it. We have way too many guilty pleas, indictments, and a litany of facts. FACTS. Cambridge Analytica, Steve Bannon, Jared Kushner, Donnie Jr. and Hope Hicks factor into this mess big time.
Trump's relationship with Russia goes back decades. He's an asset, a money-laundering useful idiot, and a fucking criminal. Enough is enough. Congress needs the fucking report, and he needs to go.
And the big money people like the Kochs need to have a sit down with Mueller, to get the full scope of his criminality, and they need to tell McConnell to get on board. I'm sure as more information is made public, there will be the necessary 20 GOP Senators who will do the right thing.

WASHINGTON — Some of Robert S. Mueller III’s investigators have told associates that Attorney General William P. Barr failed to adequately portray the findings of their inquiry and that they were more troubling for President Trump than Mr. Barr indicated, according to government officials and others familiar with their simmering frustrations.
At stake in the dispute — the first evidence of tension between Mr. Barr and the special counsel’s office — is who shapes the public’s initial understanding of one of the most consequential government investigations in American history. Some members of Mr. Mueller’s team are concerned that, because Mr. Barr created the first narrative of the special counsel’s findings, Americans’ views will have hardened before the investigation’s conclusions become public.

I betcha the heat on Barr from within the DoJ is really bad. I think he will allow Congress to go to court, and have the judge force him to release the report. That way he satisfies Trump and the thugs backing Trump, and he also complies with the court. So Trump can get pissed at the judge and not him. What kind of low life piece of shit must Barr be to read that damned report, and as a lawyer, the top lawyer in the land, the head of the Department of Justice, he tries to kill the findings? These are truly snake. Rotten vile corrupt evil people. I bet Mueller and Barr are no longer friends. If they ever were.
by Anonymous | reply 327 | April 4, 2019 12:52 AM |
There were 19 high caliber lawyers Mueller hired to work on the investigation & report. Add to that paralegals, secretaries, clerks, etc; that's a lot of personnel that know all are parts of the report's content. Plus, FBI officials and field agents fed information to the Mueller team. All this went on for a couple of years, in addition to the work Comey's people were doing as far back as late 2015/early 2016. Too many people know, for leaks not to happen, if Bill Barr does not deliver the report basically intact and relatively timely.
Barr is in a pickle. If he's smart, he'll get off the Trump train and do what's right. But he'll try to do every trick to protect Trump first, before slipping on the shit.

In other not so optimistic election news, the Dems in WI slept through a Supreme Court election that can have disastrous results. There seems to be a recount possibility but who knows.
So, to liberate Wisconsin from anti-democratic rule, all Democrats really had to worry about was winning this year’s Supreme Court election. And in a rare stroke of luck, Wisconsin conservatives managed to rally behind a reactionary judge so extreme, two of the GOP’s most reliable donors — the state’s Chamber of Commerce and Realtors Association — could not bring themselves to support him. Specifically, Judge Brian Hagedorn had written that the NAACP was a “disgrace to America,” and that homosexual intercourse should be a criminal offense because the “idea that homosexual behavior is different than bestiality as a constitutional matter is unjustifiable.” The judge had also recently cofounded a K-8 Christian school in the Milwaukee suburbs that does not allow LGBT teachers, students, or parents on its campus.
Unless Hagedorn's apparent victory is undone by recount, conservatives instead will enjoy a 5-2 majority and won't be at risk of losing it until at least 2023. The high court already looks likely to decide early disputes between new Democratic Gov. Tony Evers and majority Republicans in the Legislature.
Turnout was nearly 27%, well above the 22% of last year's state Supreme Court race. Hagedorn overcame Neubauer's huge margins in the liberal strongholds of Madison and Milwaukee by running up the vote in Green Bay and more rural parts of northeastern and north central Wisconsin. Those are both parts of the state that helped fuel Trump's win in 2016.

Mueller is still working with the Grand jury, etc. He isn't finished. But some of his former team members have left and they're finished. I doubt any of them would speak up without at least letting him know. I can see him giving them a grim nod and saying, "Hey, you're free to say what you need to say. I can't stop you." Of course that would be him giving his assent.
Sounds like Russia left their hacked voting machines in place. Precheck for 2020 to make sure everything is up and running. There is no way a five percent higher turnout was among the people already in power during this time in this country. No way. That five percent increase was due to pissed off people and that's the Democrats.
I really wonder if the Russians let the Democrats win the House while making sure the Repugs kept the Senate because that would lead to even more chaos. It would also have looked really fishy if, with all the anger and increased turnout, the Repugs still kept everything. Now, they are free to throw the elections back to the Repugs. Warmup for 2020. Let's see what they try to do to the Democratic primaries.

From the same thread in R361 linked from a poster who pulled quotes from the WaPo article since it's behind a paywall.
"The report was prepared “so that the front matter from each section could have been released immediately—or very quickly....It was done in a way that minimum redactions, if any, would have been necessary, and the work would have spoken for itself.”"
So the summary that could have been given was pretty much already written & Barr, of course, ignored it. The article also said that apparently Mueller was under the impression that the report was going to be released directly to the public but Barr had other ideas.
by Anonymous | reply 371 | April 4, 2019 10:43 AM |
What is incredulous to me is that with all the horrendous character hits that fat bastard spewed against Mueller, the special council still didn’t have the balls to do anything but hand the report in. Why not be specific and say there was obstruction of justice?
by Anonymous | reply 372 | April 4, 2019 11:20 AM |
Mueller believes the President committed a crime. Scenario (1) is If he were not the President they would have charged him. But maybe Mueller is old school and believes you do not charge (indict ) a sitting President, so Mueller wanted his report to go to Congress so they would begin impeachment proceedings and throw the bastard out.
Of course the flaw with that scenario is that in the real world Mueller also had to know that the craven McConnell would not support a conviction even if he was guilty of a crime. The impeachment part was easy. The House would be ready to do that. The Senate part, a trial and conviction, would be next to impossible.
I think, there was enough evidence of "cooperation" and conspiracy with Russia, and enough evidence of obstruction to indict the son of a bitch along with his son & his son-in-law, Steve Bannon and Cambridge Analytica. So Scenario (2) is that maybe Mueller did want to indict, but Rosenstein and Barr blocked it. They said they didn't deny any requests made by the Special Counsel, but I bet they did.
This is a cover up. And a very inept one. Right in our faces out in public, like almost everything else that gang has done. WTF was Barr thinking? Seriously. Did he think he could offer that feeble opinion of his and that it would stand up? Did he do it to buy time? Did they think that by "getting ahead of the story" they would divide public opinion and gain more support for the President? That worked for about two minutes. It's evaporating.
No matter what Barr does from this point he is covered in Trump's shit. He has no credibility, and nothing he says is true. Period. This is it for him, and who ever talked him into taking the AG job and I suspect it was someone like Graham or Grassley, this fucked him up real good. I'd suggest Giuliani may have had a hand in it, but does anyone still believe he's credible? No, this came from the oldtimers inthe Senate, because Barr is clearly assuming he can do what he did in Iran Contra and get away with it. Not this time.

I think this may be why Mueller laid out the evidence and didn't make a decision. If he believes Trump did something, they'll try and discredit him and claim he and his staff are democrats and he's out to get them. If he leaves it up to Congress, while they wouldn't likely do anything, at least the report would be in the hands of both parties. Of course, Barr had other ideas.
Trump breaks every law in the book but we can not get one person to make a copy of the Mueller report and release it.
How do we know that they haven't copied it and given it to any number of people on the good side of things? The repercussions for releasing it would be grave for the leaker if it was instantly made public. However, if it was (leaked but not publicly) it could be an indicator to some people that they should dig deeper and push harder to get it through legal channels since they would know it was would be worth it.
I think that's why people from Mueller's office are allegedly talking now to the press. They're letting them and us know that they need to keep fighting and it is worth it.

She also said that she did it because she was scared of him because he carried a gun and told her that he knew people who can make other people "disappear". To the person upthread who wanted to know why no one at DOJ has yet to leak the report: the simple answer is that almost no one has access to it. My hunch is that there are perhaps four copies in Main Justice. Two in Barr's office and two in Rosenstein's. When they are not using them, they are locked in the SCIF. Security on the fourth floor (the Deputy AG's suite) and fifth floor (the AG's suite) is tight. Not just anyone could waltz into those offices and pick up the report and copy it. In fact, no one could. There are a few career staff people -- administrative assistant types -- in those offices, and I know several of them. Lovely people but they have no intention of leaking this report. This is on members of Congress to demand the report and the Courts to follow the law and give it to them.

by Anonymous | reply 468 | April 4, 2019 11:46 PM |
They probably have a ton of sketchy things in their taxes, especially going years back.
Jane has a lot of sketchy relations that she got jobs for when Jane was working at the college. She committed bank fraud for the college, maybe she did it for herself too. She told the college board money would come pouring in if Bernie’s name was attached and then it didn’t. That is all kinds of unethical.
Considering how they suddenly bought a house after the election, my guess is some of that BernieBro money leaked into their coffers somehow and that’s why he’s running this time too, not to save the world as he claims he can do.

Look, I'll gladly vote for Sanders if he is our nominee. No questions.
However, I despise him. HRC won fair and square. She played hardball but she won. Unlike her and what she did for Obama by coming out fully and strongly without even a hint of hesitance in favor of him once the primary was over, Sanders did the opposite. I was floored about how lukewarm and frankly, obvious he was about his lack of support for her. You cannot tell me that didn't have some effects on his supporters who were so disrespectful even at the convention. That is why we had the disturbances at the convention. He never gave her a full, unequivocal endorsement of her. It exposed a character trait I did not like. And the fucker still won't help Democrats and won't join the party. So, I don't trust him.

Plus not showing up for the Russian sanctions vote and his earlier refusal to back sanctions....so many things he and his wife have done. I believe he is as big a thief as Trump and I don’t understand his following nor why the Democratic Party let him back in this year. Were they afraid of a Third Party Run by him or what? It is very discouraging. He could derail everything.

Heads up, people. I'm reading THE definitive Trump book. It's called House of Trump, House of Putin and it's written by Craig Unger. Trump hooked up with Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, and Charles Black in 1987, or thereabouts, entertaining the notion of one day running for President. He was already back from his first Moscow trip with Ivana where he claimed falsely that he met with high officials, but he did in fact get to know their ambassador to the US. He was talking to them about building a hotel across from the Kremlin. LOL! This was when Gorbachev was in charge. They've been playing him and using him f or years. The book really gets into the history of the mobsters and sleeze Trump surrounded himself with including the despicable Roy Cohn.
by Anonymous | reply 482 | April 5, 2019 1:16 AM |
The people around Trump are playing a dangerous game and they are all going down. COmes out he told McConnell to fast track one of his former employees to a position at the IRS even before the Senate confirmed Barr, back in February, because he knew the Dems would call for his tax returns. The guy is still waiting, but Trump is furious! F.U.R.I.O.U.S. He told the press today that the Dems would have to talk to his lawyers ..."and the Attorney General." LOLOL! He still believes if he places people in a position they can "fix things" for him and everything will simply go away. Not happening. We have 24/7/365 news cycles, we have the internet, and we have cell phones that are like mini computers. LOLOL! No more hiding and stalling and cover ups. It all comes out eventually, but now it comes out in days instead of years, baby.

I don't want to count the chickens before they hatch but it does seem like the Mueller team was pissed off about Barr lying and are ready to leak if this doesn't go public. Maybe, as some here have speculated, Mueller knew Barr was going to do this so he gave him enough rope.
He may have wanted to get first impressions but Barr may have made this already huge scandal an even larger one.
Is there anything conservatives don't fuck up?

Chuck Todd: ‘But the Mueller Report’ is Going to Be the New ‘But Her Emails’
Chuck Todd went on to argue that Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani had a point when he argued that the latest reporting about internal pushback to Attorney General William Barr‘s four-page summation on Mueller report is the work of “disgruntled Mueller staffers who are rabid democratic supporters.”
“While his credibility at times can be hot and cold, the fact is … he was able to look credible in this statement,” Todd said — citing Giuliani’s point that the special counsel’s office would have publicly disputed Barr’s summary, as it did a BuzzFeed report in January, if there was a “significant difference.”

R48 has it nailed. Barr is not ready for the blow back. He's old school. I go on my Twitter news feed and Barr is the lead story, talking about how he has permanently damaged his reputation, Barr this, Barr that, etc. I love it.
As for Mueller, I think if he is as smart and capable as his reputation indicates, then IMO he might have given Barr enough rope, in the sense that strategically, he waited to see how B arr would handle his report. Once he confirmed his suspicions, the summaries his own team wrote on various aspects of the investigation would come to light, and the leaks would start.
Mueller is not playing, and if it damages Barr's reputation so be it. Because Barr didn't give a flying fuck about damaging Mueller's reputation, and more importantly, damaging the reputations of dozens of people who worked with Mueller and by extension, the DoJ itself. So yeah, they're fighting back, and Rosenstein better GTF out of the way. (He seems to be a good dancer.)

R511, the pics are probably in Stone's cellar, hiding under a cement pour.
I'm telling you. That Craig Unger book lays it all out. Today Trump's attacking Barbara Bush. Well that goes back a few decades. When he was seriously entertaining a run for POTUS, in 1987, he was told Bush had it locked. Bush's numbers were great. Trump couldn't beat him. Even if he ran, especially if he ran as an independent (He was seriously considering it.) Barbara Bush claimed they had dealings with Trump in the 90's and she said he was evil.
Trump became enamoured of Russia in 1985 when Gorby opened up the USSR and openness was the order of the day. Trump pivots to politics giving an interview about nuclear arms proliferation and tells a journalist that he Trump, " could play a key role in strategic Arms limitations..." And get this. He tells a reporter for the Washington Post, "Some people have the ability to negotiate. It's an art you're basically born with. You either have it or you don't. " He wanted Reagan to appoint him ambassador to Gorbachev. (Roger Stone, Manafort & Black worked on the Reagan re election in 1984 and Trump had already retained them as early as 1980, when they opened up shop.
Russia was concerned they didn't have enough really viable American assets and started making it a priority in 84. In 86 Trump met the Russian Ambassador to the UN who was lavishly praising Trump for his Trump Tower. OMG So Cool!!! ..."I wish we had something like this in Moscow." In "The Art of the Deal" it gets a mention:" Now I'm talking about building a large luxury hotel across from the Kremlin." The former Russian ambassador's daughter said, Trump was an emotional impulsive person who craved recognition. They played him, groomed him and so it started.
Tricia Newbold set an important mark when she became the first official currently serving in Donald Trump’s White House to take accusations of wrongdoing to Congress—and to put her name publicly behind them.
But Democrats on Capitol Hill say that beyond Newbold, a small army of whistle-blowers from across the government has been working in secret with the House Oversight Committee to report alleged malfeasance inside the Trump administration. Lawmakers and aides are reluctant to discuss information they have gleaned from anonymous government tipsters in detail. But the list of whistle-blowers who either currently or previously worked in the Trump administration, or who worked closely with the administration, numbers in the “dozens,” according to a senior aide from the committee now led by Democratic Representative Elijah Cummings of Maryland.

We need to look into the Barr appointment closer. I had no idea that Don McGahn's uncles were collaborators of Trump's years ago. Patrick McGahn was a lawyer who helped him get the Taj Mahal casino set up and going in NEw Jersey, along with his corrupt brother, and Trump name a bar in the Complex "Paddy's Saloon." Not saying McGahn is corrupt, he's just ideologically abhorrent to me, but I am saying his family ties made him someone Trump would feel good about.
Now Barr has ties to Bush 41. Given how much Trump hated them, and the Bushes couldn't stand him (see Barbara Bush's new biography) I find it curious....unless Barr was recommended by ether Grassley or Graham, or there was some vague connection through the Charlie Black/ Roger Stone /Paul Manafort/ Reagan crowd.
Trump makes new friends easily when they're useful to him. But he is very much inclined most of the time to go with someone that meets his comfort level through old ties. He likes context.
As I understand it, and I know y'all will correct me, someone from Trump's camp reached out to Barr asking him to be Trump's personal attorney in the Mueller investigation. Barr declined, but wrote a 19 page analysis/ audition about why the POTUS couldn't be prosecuted and the whole Mueller investigation was outrageous. He was more than willing to step into the AG spot and refused to recuse himself.

Koch Bros had a hand in Barr's selection. McConnell, Graham, Grassley, Pence, etc. don't do anything major in Republican matters without the approval, or the requests by, the Koch funding outfit.
by Anonymous | reply 524 | April 5, 2019 4:47 PM |
Is that an assumption, R524? Because the Kochs have absolutely no love for Trump and they were real pissed off about the tariffs and the trade wars, etc. Grassley and Graham are perfectly capable of doing what they think is best, acting independently without consulting with the Kochs. In fact Graham will blow smoke up their asses and justify anything he does. Some guys are so impressed with the Kochs they'll wipe their asses, like Paul Ryan. Grassley is not Paul Ryan. McConnell is more beholden to the Financial Services lobby than to anyone, but he'd be a Koch shill as is Pence.
by Anonymous | reply 525 | April 5, 2019 4:52 PM |

He's the one who persuaded Trump to pull the name of his acting ICE chief at the last minute today. The Department of Homeland Security is pissed. They said when Miller's advice is bad and his policies don't work he convinces Trump that it's because they have the wrong people. This guy was supposed to get a permanent appointment. He had been acting director of ICE. Now he is gone and the entire border security operation is breaking apart because it's strained to the limit. Legal eagles on the telly have said that when you cooperate, you're required to spill [bold]ANY AND ALL[/bold] criminal information you have, for decades if necessary. Cohen's criminal dirt probably goes back to his taxi medallion business connected to the Russian mafia. Not snitching on them seems like a smart way to stay alive.
The reason SDNY said he didn't cooperate is because he didn't give them info on his criminal business practices prior to Trump.

R561, It's possible, but I don't think even his personal IRS toady would let him get away with that.
by Anonymous | reply 563 | April 6, 2019 1:31 AM |
Most people probably don't care that Trump cheated on his taxes, but it would absolutely ruin him to have definitive proof he's not anywhere as rich as he's claimed to be, and the tax returns would do that.

Trump's IRS "toady" is the general counsel at the IRS. I believe I read somewhere that they keep the president's taxes locked in a secure safe. I doubt there are many copies nor any electronic files. Mueller may have accessed a copy but that is probably about it. The request actually goes to Steve Mnuchin who will refuse. Will definitely end up in Federal Court. Court will uphold law and tell Mnuchin to release and he will appeal to Supreme Court. Hopefully, the Supreme Court will decline to hear as all those conservative judges are strict constitutionalist and read the law very literally. It doesn't get much more literal than "shall provide."

I think Barr was sent in to protect Trump at all costs - even the cost of his own reputation. He's being paid off somewhere. I would not be the least bit surprised if he or Trump didn't classify the entire Mueller Report as Top Secret - Code Word. As above, the courts move so slowly that the 2020 election will come and go before any court forced the administration's hand. Barr has ways of tying this up in court for years. In my opinion, the democrats should have been issuing subpoenas two weeks ago.

R564, People do care that trump cheated on his taxes. It's deplorables who don't care. Plus, revenues will go down because people will say," trump and other richiy riches cheat, why should I be honest?" It's a downward spiral towards becoming a third world country.

R565, that guy was personally picked by Trump to head the IRS. Until I'm convinced otherwise I'm sticking with 'toady'. As far as the law goes, it's very clear that the IRS shall provide the returns that Congress requests. It may end up in court, but it's so clear cut I don't know what Trump's lawyers could possibly argue.
by Anonymous | reply 568 | April 6, 2019 2:32 AM |
R568, his lawyers today made the only argument they could make: that they can magically read the mind of the Chairman of the Ways & Means Committee and they KNOW he doesn’t have a legitimate purpose in asking the returns, no matter what reason he has actually articulated. Yes, it’s not a convincing argument.

R566 I agree. Democrats won't fight on Trump's level and they never get tired of losing to Rethug antics. You'd think house Democrats would eventually learn how to play the game. It's so frustrating to watch it play out from the sidelines and to have no control.

Fat Donnie doesn't have the time to clean up all of the returns for his scams aka businesses. He has more than 50 from what I understand. And those all have separate entities from there. It is a HUGE spiderweb of returns that it would take a decade to "doctor".
Secondly, there ARE electronic copies of his returns. All of them. So he can have his bonfire but the IRS still has copies of his returns as will his accountant.
He can run but he cannot hide.

He referred to immigrants again today as not human, but animals. That’s downright Fascist-speak. Abominable.

Seth Abramson: This has to be said clearly and be understood by all Americans: in late January 2017, Trump was as much protecting Flynn over *Saudi Arabia* as Russia. When you see what Flynn and Trump were doing during in the 72 hours Yates alerted the White House about Flynn, you'll be amazed.

Auntie Maxine: "He's lied. He's said that they're under audit. He never intended to release them. He is not going to release them until we make him, until we force him to do it."

Wouldn't his personal accountant also have copies? Wouldn't there be copies at Trump Tower with whomever was in charge of all the financial stuff for his "empire"? Can't Congress or the state of New York compel those with subpoenas? Isn't it probably that New York already has them?

You just know Drumpf and the Rethugs are going to distract with yet something else when those taxes come out.
Question is what?
by Anonymous | reply 589 | April 6, 2019 5:34 AM |
At this point Trump will declare that the release of his real tax returns is a Fake News, Witch Hunt maneuver. Why does the media even give Trump any attention at this point? It's the same buzzwords and obvious lies.
by Anonymous | reply 590 | April 6, 2019 5:34 AM |
Because the Media has proven to be his bitch.
